Country: Spain Region: Vinos de Madrid Varietal: Malvar Vintage: 2011 Body: medium Alcohol: 13.5%
This charming and interesting white is 100% Malvar organically grown in the Vinos de Madrid region. ‘Zestos’ means ‘basket’ and is referring to the one on the label which were placed on donkeys to transport the just-picked grapes from the vineyard to the winery. This simple image is meant to recall the tools from the past. Zestos Blanco is an easy-to-drink white wine that seems to cross the weight of Chardonnay with the brightness of Sauvignon Blanc. Enjoy ripe apple fruit, lemon and lime citrus, nice weight and light acidity. Don’t drink this wine too cold, give it 15 minutes on the table to show its layers.
