Country: U.S., Michigan Region: Leelanau Peninsula AVA Varietal: Gewürztraminer Vintage: 2011 Body: medium- light Alcohol: 11% | Out of Stock, haven't been able to try the newer vintages. We first had the privilege of trying this 2011 Dry Gewürztraminer at Verterra’s tasting room in Leeland, MI. We tried many great wines that day, but this one stood out from the pack, matching the style of Gewürztraminer that Alsace is known for. This crisp, dry (!) Michigan white delivers fresh peach & lychee, a subtle white floral note and a dash of warm spice. Round that out with refreshing acidity and a brisk, bright finish and you have a Michigan wine ready to take on the world! Try it with: Creamy smoked salmon pasta, sweet potato curry soup, spicy Thai noodle salad | ...you have a Michigan wine ready to take on the world! |
