Varietal: Pinot Grigio
Body: medium- light
Wine has been produced in this area since the time of the Celts and Illyrian tribes, long before the Romans brought wine to France, Spain and Italy. Most Slovenian wine is consumed domestically which is why most of us are just now being exposed to the fabulous wine of Slovenia.
This wine selected by Edi Simčič is no exception, showing lovely minerality on the nose with apple and citrus. On the palate some pear joins the party with the minerality and light acidity creating structure in this charming and surprisingly complex wine for the price.
