Country: France
Region: Muscadet Sevre et Maine AOC
Varietal: Melon de Bourgogne
Vintage: 2011
Body: light
Alcohol: 12%

Repeat after us -- This is not Muscat.  Not that we don’t like a good Muscat, but this wine couldn’t be much more different.  Starting with the grape…this is the Melon de Bourgogne grape from the Muscadet appellation in the Loire Valley region of France.
So far so good?  Well it 's about to get better.  Dry and crisp, this wine has lovely minerality, a generous array of white fruit, with threads of pineapple rind, apple and sea salt. All this from organic grapes.   Simply wonderful.
try it with: Muscadet is the classic pairing with mussels, also good with oysters, shrimp, sandwiches, afternoon snacks, warming by the fire
