Region: Fiano Beneventano IGT
Grown primarily in Campania and Sicily, Fiano is a small, thick skinned grape that dates back to Roman times. Fiano fell out of favor because of its low yields, but this native grape is currently making a comeback.
We get ripe apple and pear with lemony citrus and stony minerality, which gives this lovely white some nice complexity. Try it with: Sea scallops with lemon zest and olive oil on linguine, grilled corn with chick peas red onions dressed in vinaigrette, roasted chicken wings.
