Region: Salento IGP (Puglia)
Palamà is a small estate in a sea of gigantic producers–a speck of an island on the Salento Peninsula–and they would have it no other way. With perhaps the lowest yields in the entire appellation, Palamà is committed to the highest quality “everyday” wines that can be produced, without the fuss of new oak – just ripe, fresh, powerful fruit from this native grape of southern Italy, resulting in dark, rich wine, as the grape’s name suggests. On the nose you get dark fruit and minerality. Blackberry and currants pop on the palate mingling with earthy spice, nice acidity and light tannins on the finish. Give 30 minutes to an hour of air.
Here we add information on wines as they come in. We will try to keep up with out-of-stocks and vintage changes but we make no promises. For the most up to date information call, email or stop by. Cheers!
