Coteaux de Pierrevert is a wine-growing AOC in the western part of the Provence wine region. Red wines are made from Grenache noir and Syrah which must account for 70% together with a minimum of 30% of each. Secondary varieties are Cinsault, Mourvedre and Carignan. This wine is labled only Pierrevert because it is 10% Grenache and 90% Syrah.
We get lovely floral notes on the nose with inky fruit.  On the palate the fruit becomes dark berry with black pepper, nice acidity to balance and firm tannin on the finish.
