Carménère can be a hard nut to crack. Because of its popularity and its necessity for ripeness, it is often over manipulated. Winemakers use too much oak, sugar beets, acidified, et cetera. That or it’s underripe or overpriced. Sometimes all of the above! Suffice it to say, we were excited to find this gem.
We get loads of dark berry fruit on the nose and palate with nice oak adding structure and weight, a hint of gunpowder and spruce grove adding some complexity and light tannins on the finish.
Here we add information on wines as they come in. We will try to keep up with out-of-stocks and vintage changes but we make no promises. For the most up to date information call, email or stop by. Cheers!
