Region: Savoie AOC
Produced at an estate nestled in the French Alps, this classical Champagne method bubbly is 60% Jacquère (often very light, higher in acidity, with scents of fresh grass), 20% Chardonnay and 20% Altesse (small yields, ripens late, often with exotic aromas, citrus, herbs, and good acidity.), common varietals in the Savoie region.
This blend gives us granny smith apple, a bit of yeasty bready notes, spice and dried herbs, good acidity and tiny bubbles.
Sparkling, bubbly, fizzante, we love these wines. While Champagne only comes from Champagne, France (and it deserves its own name, it is a unique and special wine in this category) there are plenty of excellent champagne style wines at all price points. We look forward to sharing them with you.
