Country: Michigan, USA Region: Leelanau Peninsula AVA Varietal: Chardonnay Vintage: NV Body: Sparkling Alcohol: 11% Champagne method | Larry Mawby has been producing fine wines in the Leelanau Peninsula since 1978, his champagne method wines may be the best wine made in Michigan. His Blanc de Blanc is another sophisticated example. Aromas and flavors of spiced apples and pears combine with a delightful crispness. If you haven’t tried a Michigan sparkling wine, we highly recommend this one. Try it with: Hors d’oevures, pan fried whitefish, Waldorf salad, Apple tart and, like champagne, it goes with almost anything. | His champagne method wines may be the best wine made in Michigan. |

BubblySparkling, bubbly, fizzante, we love these wines. While Champagne only comes from Champagne, France (and it deserves its own name, it is a unique and special wine in this category) there are plenty of excellent champagne style wines at all price points. We look forward to sharing them with you. Categories
